"I love teaching... as a life long learner, my students teach me the best lessons each day!"  Mrs. T

.I've never been one to back away from constructive criticism. Teaching is hard...so many variables, so many pressures, paper work, many different kinds of learners, families, leaders, teachers.   I love this video because it challenges all of us who link to education (which is, by the way, ALL of us) to look at our 'background checks' and consider where we are and where children need to be heading.  Price EA brings up some relevant points to ponder and reflect on...so much of what I already lead with in my teaching philosophy and have been blessed to have leadership that have encouraged me to find ways to head in this direction even with the current structures of standardized teaching.
I really believe as educators, we are the key.  Big hugs to all of you!  And thank you Prince EA.  "Let's Roll!"

"Students may be 20% of our population, but they are 100% of our future."  Prince EA

How can we create positive literacy spaces to encourage children to love reading and develop strong communication skills?

I love assessment for learning and using standards to create lessons. This 'backwards' design to planning keeps me moving in the right direction!
